Darlington Cum Laude Society Inducts 24 New Members

The Darlington Chapter of the Cum Laude Society inducted 22 new student members and two faculty members during an recent installation ceremony.

According to Dean of College Guidance Sam Moss (’63), Chapter president, membership in the Cum Laude Society is the highest academic honor Darlington can bestow upon a group of students. To be eligible for consideration, students must have an A (93) average for all four years, have taken at least eight Honors or AP courses over four years (or two each year), have earned a very high class rank and have demonstrated good character, honor and integrity in all aspects of their school life. Membership is limited to a maximum of 20 percent of each senior class.

Inductees included Broderick Charles Anderson, Jaclyn Summer Brass, Morgan Kent Caraway, Brian J. Davidson, Adewale Agaba Desalu, TreVorski Tylon Garrett, Lucas Miller Jennings, Yutthana Lakliang, Bi Ying Li, Sheng Liu, Ryan Gregory Major, Kristin Nicole Martiniello, Benjamin Ryan McBurnett, Jesse Thomas Milner, Poon Panichpibool, Sneh Mahesh Patel, Molly Marie Safigan, Robert Evan Smallwood, You Joo Tae, Martha Ondina Tucker, Samuel William Watters and Qiaoyu Yan. Faculty inductees included Raymond Murray and David Powell.
