Kozelle comes to Berry with a strong journalism background of more than 20 years in newspapers and wire service and has most recently written for a variety of nonprofit organizations, Fortune 500 companies and online publications.
“Berry College, one of the top liberal arts colleges in the region, has an amazing story to tell. I’m excited to share information about the distinctive Berry education,” Kozelle said.
During her journalism career, Kozelle worked for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution from 1998 to 2009 and spent much of that time as an education reporter.
She also worked at newspapers in Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas and as a news editor at CNN Wire and The Associated Press.
Kozelle has won awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, Arkansas Associated Press Managing Editors and Arkansas Press Association. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Kansas.
She replaces Rick Woodall, who has taken a new role in the Office of Advancement.
