Have you ever thought of becoming a beekeeper? Learn about this fulfilling and rewarding hobby. It is easier than you may think, and more rewarding than you might imagine. This introduction to the fascinating art and science of beekeeping teaches you everything you need to get started. Beginning with an overview of beekeeping, you will learn about honey bee biology, equipment and hive tools, starting with nucs (nucleus hives) vs. packages, honeybee package installation, products of the hive, and challenges and management of hives. You will learn all you need to know to plan and set up your hive and be ready to start your hive in the spring! This course is taught by Randy Rolen, Journeyman Beekeeper.
