2nd Annual Northwest Georgia Balloon festival on Georgia State Highway 48 in Menlo, Georgia featuring two special shapes balloons, the Purple People Eater and the world's tallest balloon the Energizer Bunny Our festival is great family entertainment with a carnival, arts & crafts booths, great food plus 13 hot air balloons. Balloons launch at 6 AM and 6 PM weather permitting. A tethered balloon will be on site as well as inflatables and a fishing pond for the little ones. Music will be offered each afternoon. Admission is a parking fee. Proceeds benefit the Menlo Volunteer Fire Department, Menlo Recreation Department and the Showa/Best Glove scholarship. Where else can you have the time of your life and benefit great causes? You can miss the Energizer Bunny. It's big (166 feet tall) and pink. This balloon is 15 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty! ALL that and it flies.
