$100,000 of jewelry taken

Someone broke into a Broad Street antique store and took several thousand dollars worth of items, according to police reports.

According to the report:

Person or persons forcibly entered Masters Antiques, 241 Broad St., either late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning by drilling out the lock on the front door.

The items taken included several pieces of gold and platinum jewelry with a total value greater than $100,000, a five-piece sterling silver tea set valued at approximately $2,200, and a box containing collectible coins valued at approximately $3,000 and $1,600 in cash.

The case was turned over to detectives.
