One person was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be only minor injuries after a wreck in front of Rome High School on Thursday morning.

According to officer Rusty Blair with the Rome Police Department:

A gray Chevrolet Caprice driven by Howard Lester of Cedartown was turning left into Three Rivers Drive and was struck by a black Chevrolet pickup truck driven by James Sexton of Centre, Ala.

A passenger in the Caprice was taken to Floyd Medical Center.

One lane of westbound traffic was blocked while police worked at the scene, but the area was cleared by 9:30 a.m.
