The Exchange Club Family Resource Center will be holding its 13th Annual “A Night at the Movies,” Tuesday, February 12th , at the Rome Cinemas in West Rome. All proceeds benefit the Family Resource Center in their endeavor to prevent child abuse.

The Rome Cinemas and the Rome Hospitality Association are partnering with the Family Resource Center to bring this fun-filled event again this year. “We couldn’t do it without them,” says event Chair, Julia Dent, “and we are so grateful for their help.”

“The fundraiser starts at 6 pm with a delicious array of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres and cocktails,” says event co-chair Meredith Brown. “Ticket holders will then be able to see one of six blockbuster movies at 7:30 pm,” she says.

Tickets are available by calling the center at (706) 290-0764 and the cost is $45 per person, $80 for couples, and $40 each for groups of 10 or more.

The goal of the Exchange Club’s Family Resource Center is to provide education and support services to families in Floyd County in order to strengthen the parenting and life skills of the parents and to prevent child abuse and neglect within these families. The Center offers the following:

Parent Aide Services, Networking with other Community Agencies

Visitation Services, Divorcing Parents Seminars, In-School Education, Supervised / Monitored Transfers, Parent Education through Community-based Parenting Classes.
