Three men were arrested Thursday and charged with the theft of a utility vehicle.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Billy Dewayne Jackson, 27, of 108 Agnes St. in Rome; Tommy Rick Morgan, 23, of 9 Old Rockmart Road in Lindale; and Jonathan David Harrison, 26, of 308 Wright St. in Rome, were all arrested Thursday and charged with felony theft.

Additionally, Morgan was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, drugs not kept in the original container and two counts of obstruction of law enforcement.

Floyd County police warrants stated that in August, Jackson and Harrison unlawfully took a Kawasaki utility vehicle from a location on Cedartown Highway. Morgan was charged with theft by receiving stolen property after police say he was in possession of the Kawasaki and knew that it was unlawfully taken.

Morgan received the drug charges after police say he tried to run from officers attempting the serve the warrant, then tried to toss away a bag of suspected drugs he had in his possession.
