3 charged in Cherokee meth raid

The Cherokee County Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 580 Park St. in Leesburg, Ala. this weekend, and three people were arrested, reports stated.

According to police reports:

Thomas Herman Jordan, 36, of Leesburg; Jonathan Lang McKnight,39, of Sand Rock, Ala.; and Stephen Phillip Baker, 35, of Centre, Ala. were arrested.

During the search, agents seized a large quantity of crystal meth along with money, vehicles, four wheelers, motorcycles, utility trailers, a Bobcat loader, electronics, documents, yard work equipment and digital scales.

Agents had been getting information of the drug activity and conducted an investigation culminating in the search of the residence and property and the arrests.

The Cherokee County sheriff, chief deputy, sheriff's office lieutenant, investigators and deputies from the sheriff's office along with the chief and officers from Leesburg Police Department and investigators from the district attorney's office, participated in the search.
