Two people were sent to the hospital with unknown injuries after they were involved in a three-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Turner McCall Boulevard and Cooper Drive at about 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

According to Rome police officer Steven Smith:

The driver of an older model red and gray Ford F-150 was turning left onto Cooper Drive as the driver of a gold Honda Accord was heading inbound on Turner McCall Boulevard.

The Honda did not yield as the truck was making the turn and hit it, and the impact caused the Ford to crash into a stationary GMC Envoy that was stopped at the red light on Cooper Drive.

The drivers of the Ford and GMC were taken to Floyd Medical Center with injuries. The driver of the Honda was taken to the hospital by a family member.

Police were unable to confirm names at the time of the wreck.
