CASA volunteers are assigned to a foster child’s case and advocate for the child’s best interest in juvenile court proceedings until the case has been resolved. The goal of the CASA volunteer is to ensure a safe, permanent home for the child as quickly as possible. They work closely with all the parties involved in the case. The new volunteers are Melody Harris, Jenny Sills, Tiera Davis and Joy Walker.
Currently, there are more than 200 children in foster care in Floyd County and the need for CASA volunteers has never been greater. For more information call 706-235-2272 or visit us online at www.floydcountycasa.org.
