Four people were treated and released from Floyd Medical Center on Friday night after they were involved in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred at the intersection of Turner McCall Boulevard and Riverside Parkway just after 3 p.m. on Friday.

According to Rome police officer Corey Bowers:

Janet Williams, 48, of Rome, was driving her gold Honda Accord and attempting to cross the intersection heading north as Leigh Ann Sanford, 38, of Rome, was in her blue Jeep and trying to turn left from Riverside onto Turner McCall when the vehicles collided head on.

Both Williams and Sanford were alert and conscious after the wreck and were taken to Floyd Medicinal Center for treatment. Sanford had her two small children, ages 3 and 5, with her, but Bowers said they only had some cuts and scratches.

Sanford was cited with failure to yield.
