The Early Childhood Education program at Pepperell High School recently studied the emotional development of young children. Part of that unit included learning how family violence impacts the life of a young child.

The class had a guest speaker from the Hospitality House of Rome visit their class and talk to them about family violence. The students then wanted to do something to help children of domestic violence.

The class made fleece blankets for the boys and girls who were currently living at the Hospitality House with their mothers. Each student included a hand-written note with their blanket to let the children know they are special and loved very much. The high school students enjoyed this project so much that many donated Christmas gifts, blankets, and scarves for the mothers to receive on Christmas morning.
