The Tuscaloosa News reports that a new policy under consideration would establish a third-party whistle-blower hotline for reporting suspected ethics and financial wrongdoing.
The board next month could approve resolutions to create the policy, which would centralize standards instead of having several different grievance policies at each school.
Board member Gary Warren of Haleyville said the board requested the resolutions partly because of its internal audit committee's advice and because they make good sense.
