AllCare Medical equipment is now open at 510 W. 12th St. in Rome.

For more than 20 years, AllCare was servicing the Rome area from Trion, however, the demand from patients for AllCare to have a location in Rome was too great to ignore.

“For over two decades, AllCare has provided excellent patient care to our Rome area patients, but we felt we could do better by opening an office with a larger warehouse closer to our Floyd County patients,” said Barry Sanders, AllCare president. “Having a local office here also allows us to become a more active member of the Rome community. Over the next few months, we hope to become very active members in the local community, primarily through senior citizen events and getting to know our Rome neighbors.”

Having already been a part of the Rome medical community, AllCare's Rome location is good news for customers.

Joy Jones, director of Floyd Medical's Heyman Hospice, says, “We have been using AllCare for the equipment needs of our patients for over 10 years. Both of our programs have experienced many changes during those years, but several things have remained consistent: their genuine concern and caring attitude towards our patients; their commitment to providing the highest quality equipment; and their proven record of providing outstanding service.”

AllCare provides what's called “durable medical equipment” such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, scooters, lift chairs, hospital and sports grade braces and support hosiery. AllCare also provides respiratory therapy such as home oxygen therapy, CPAP equipment and masks, and nebulizers and nebulizer medications. At the new Rome site, patients can try out their selection of lift chairs and other equipment and test drive a power wheelchair or scooter.

Equipment can be delivered to patients' homes, their doctor’s office or to local hospitals. They say the Rome office can bill Medicare, Medicaid and insurance companies for patients.

Very good news to hear that a good company is coming to town. Allcare took care of my granny right in Rockmart before she passed away this year. Good folks and we would use them again.
