Glenn Delks has asked the state Board of Education to hold an emergency meeting on his claims and determine if state funds should be withheld from local school boards whom he believes have broken the law.
His complaint targets Schools Superintendent John Barge, a Floyd County resident, and local superintendents in Atlanta and Fulton County. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the board has forwarded the letter to Attorney General Sam Olens for guidance.
Barge has spoken against an amendment that would allow the state to create more charter schools. Barge spokesman Matt Cardoza declined to comment on the complaint.
