The Berry College Wind Ensemble, directed by Glenn Garrido, will present its fall concert, “Celebrating International Education Week,” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Ford Auditorium.

The performance is part of the continuing celebration of 100 years of music-making on the Berry campus. Admission is free and open to the public. Call 706-236-2289 for more information.

The concert will open with the world premiere of Centennial Overture, composed by longtime Berry faculty member and chair of fine arts Stan Pethel. Other selections will showcase music from Spain, France, Ireland, Latin America and the United States.

Special guest conductors will include 1985 Berry graduate George Barnett; Sam Baltzer, band director from 1994-1996; Justin Karch, a graduate student and staff member at Berry; and Lucidio Quintero of Venezuela, who will be conducting the premiere of his most recent work, Danzon.
