More than 1,800 people in Catoosa County have already cast ballots during the early voting period for the general election, according to elections official Tonya Moore.

Early voting opened Oct. 15 and will be allowed through Friday, Nov. 2. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 6.

The county has 41,316 registered voters, and 4.5 percent of them cast ballots in just the first three days of early voting, Moore said.

Voting hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and will also take place for a special Saturday session on Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
