A truck carrying a cargo of live chickens overturned on the side of U.S. 411 near Kingston, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The truck was traveling westbound in Bartow County on Monday afternoon when it approached traffic that was stopped in the roadway just before Reynolds Bridge Road.

The driver was unable to stop in time and left the roadway before the truck turned over onto its passenger side in a ditch.

No other vehicles were involved in the wreck and the driver escaped serious injury.
