Edgewood Avenue burglary under investigation

Police are investigating a burglary at an Edgewood Avenue residence in which jewelry, clothes and electronics were taken.

According to a Rome police report:

A resident who left for work Monday at 7 a.m. and returned home around 5:30 p.m. discovered that the back door had been kicked down.

A jewelry box containing $2,000 worth of jewelry, $200 in men’s clothes and a television valued at $800 were reported stolen.

No suspect has been identified.
