What happens when you combine reading, magic, and famous authors of mystery and horror? The answer: An exciting and spooky magic show that is geared towards Library Teen Programs. Magical Educator Chad Crews will be performing his “Authors of Mystery and Horror Show” in libraries all across Georgia and South Carolina during the fall and winter months. He will be performing at the Sara Hightower Regional Library on Tuesday, October 16th at 7:30 pm. The show is especially popular around

Halloween, and is used by libraries as a way to bring in more teenage visitors. Chad uses many tricks that are tailored to the themes of many of Edgar Allan Poe’s most famous poems and stories. The show also introduces it’s viewers to many interesting and little known facts about Poe and his influence on future authors, such as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle of Sherlock Holmes fame, as well as Harry Houdini, the famous magician and escape artist.

Chad has been performing magic for many years, and travels all over Georgia and South Carolina performing educational magic shows for schools and libraries. For more information about Chad and his unique shows as well as a schedule of his performances, you can visit his website at www.chadcrewsmagic.com.
