F&P Georgia, 88 Enterprise Drive, in the Floyd County Industrial Park has surpassed the 5 million hours without a lost time accident threshold.

Plant Director Kunihiko Ito led a formal celebration of the safety milestone.

Since the company opened in Rome in 2001, F&P Georgia has been committed to culture of safety first throughout the plant, which has expanded several times.

The plant’s Safety Committee includes representatives from the production lines, technicians and supervisory staff, all focused on taking whatever steps are necessary to keep the plant safe, clean and orderly. “It is our policy to make it the fundamental responsibility of each associate to participate in the creation of a safe work environment,” said Senior HR Manager Darcy DuVall.
