In his new position, Parker will oversee all aspects of maintenance and operations of Floyd facilities, including planning, design, construction, compliance, utilities performance and engineering services, supported by 26 skilled tradesmen and women.
Prior to joining Floyd, Parker served as the director of Engineering Services for AnMed Health in Anderson, S.C.
Parker holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The Citadel, Charleston, S.C., and a Bachelor of Science degree in marine engineering and shipboard operations from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, N.Y.
A certified healthcare facility manager (CHFM) and registered professional engineer, Parker is a member of the Georgia Society for Healthcare Engineers, American Society for Healthcare Engineering, the National Fire Protection Association and the International Code Council. He is a member of the American Hospital Association Certification Center’s CHFM certification program and job analysis advisory committees and the American Society for Healthcare Engineering’s VISTA Award Taskforce Committee.
He and his wife, Cheryl, live in Rome.
