THE ROME TEA PARTY recently held a “town hall” at which the remaining 40 people who actually believe they may live long enough to drive on the U.S. 411 Connector to I-75 showed up to hear one side only from Tom K. Perdue, one of the army of paid consultants of the wealthy Rollins family that has stalled the thing for 30 years.

Attempts to delay the discussion until the Georgia DOT could present the pro side failed and the conclusion reached apparently was that ... the differing sides should spend more time talking to each other.

Yep, that’s the strategy of those trying to keep Greater Rome’s citizens and business interests from the better, faster, less costly access to all the other major highways that they helped pay for in the past: Talk it to death.
