Rome-Floyd County firefighters doused a camper fire in West Rome near Alto Park on Sunday night.

When firefighters arrived on the scene in the 1100 block of Burnett Ferry Road, the camper was fully involved and the fire was spreading to a nearby 18-wheeler trailer used for storage on the property.

The blaze was extinguished within five to ten minutes. Firefighters at the scene said they are unsure what caused the blaze, and they were able to keep the damage to the 18-wheeler trailer to a minimum.

Officials said the camper trailer was completely destroyed.

Nobody was injured in the fire.
