Shorter College is offering free admission to Saturday's game between the Shorter Hawks and the Bethel Wildcats at Barron Stadium with the donation of five or more canned food items.
Members of Shorter College’s Baptist Collegiate Ministries have teamed with the Floyd County Baptist Association to host a food drive on Saturday for the local community. The food collected at the game will be used to stock the shelves of the association's food pantry. BCM students will be on hand at each entry gate at the stadium to collect items.
Food items needed include: tuna, soup, Spaghetti O's, peanut butter, grape jelly, canned spaghetti, dry pinto beans, dry bagged rice, Pop Tarts (cherry or chocolate), Vienna Sausage, Ramen noodles, boxed macaroni and cheese and canned evaporated milk.
