General Motors is considering Atlanta for a software development center that could create up to 1,500 white-collar jobs.

The Atlanta operation would be part of four IT innovation centers GM said it plans to open in the United States.

General Motors (NYSE: GM) is said to be seeking about 250,000 square feet and has looked at multiple sites in metro Atlanta, a source said.
