Rome has been home to many strong women, forging new paths and creating change in the city.
Martha Berry, Ida Bass and Nancy Ridge were three such women found on the pages of Rome’s history.
But what if their work in Rome wasn’t done?
In the second installment of the documentary series, “The Seven Spirits of Rome,” Ross McDuffie, a Rome News-Tribune producer of “Rome Remembers: World War II,” takes a look at stories about the spirits of these three women that haunt the town they called home.
“This chapter is special because they are very unusual ghost stories. The accounts of these spirits are never malevolent, but rather caring and full of compassion and love. That being said, these videos still send chills up my spine every time I watch them,” McDuffie said.
The three videos, available on the RN-T.com homepage, tell the story of how Berry’s ghost may still walk the halls of the campus she built, the haunting of the Bass home and the spirit that may still call Chieftains home.
The series will end Sunday at RN-T.com.
