There's a long list of things going on in Rome today, including celebrations for St. Patrick's Day.

The day kicks off with the Redneck Rummage Sale at State Mutual Stadium, which continues today until 2 p.m.

The Rome Braves single game tickets also go on sale starting today. Go to Romebraves.com for more information.

At Berry College at 10 a.m., the annual MS Walk will be taking place starting in front of the Krannert Student Union.

The Ginger Pride Walk will kick off at 11 a.m. on Broad Street, followed by the 12 p.m. St. Petrick's Day Parade and the 1 p.m. Leprechaun-a-thon at Barron Stadium.

this was a big, well put together event except for one thing.

No parking was available strictly for disabled customers today. I heard several guests comment on the failure to have the handicapped parkin available.

For this charitable event to be a complete success next year it needs to add a handicap section, only vehicles with car tags with the handicap display or a mirror placard should be allowed in this area.

why discriminate against people with handicaps when it could be corrected, plenty of space was open to allow this action.
