Raymond Hebert has been named director of biomedical services at Floyd Medical Center.

Hebert oversees the biomedical services team and manages the day-to-day operations of the department. He ensures the proper medical equipment is maintained throughout the hospital, keeps inventory and historical documentation of medical equipment and assists the organization with the formation of policies and procedures related to the medical equipment management plan. In addition, he assists departments with capital planning and various purchases.

Hebert earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business management from the University of Phoenix, New Orleans, La. In addition, he earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Southern University, Orange Ala. He earned an additional degree in electronic engineering technology from RETS College, New Orleans, La.

Hebert is a certified electronics technician and holds a General Class Federal Communications Commission license. Prior to joining FMC, he was employed by ARAMARK Healthcare.

Hebert is a member of the Rome Chamber of Commerce and the American College of Healthcare Executives. He and his wife, Pearl, reside in East Rome where they attend Pleasant Valley Baptist Church South.
