Two Romans arrested in Alabama drug raid

Two Floyd County residents were arrested in a Cherokee County Alabama drug bust on Oct. 16.

The Cherokee County Sherrif's Office busted a residence at Woodmont Drive in Cedar Bluff residence earlier this morning.

Virginia Lee Jordan, 49, of Silver Creek and Tyree Antonio Gibbs, 25, of Rome were charged with drug trafficking.

According to information provided by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office:

Officers seized large quantities of crystal meth, cocaine, oxycontin, heroin along with a small quantity of clonazepam and marijuana, and more than $2,500 in cash.

The two were pulled over while approaching the residence and police say they found a large amount of narcotics inside the vehicle, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Large quantities of Crystal Meth, Cocaine and Heroin were found at the Cedar Bluff residence. Amounts of pills and marijuana along with cash were also seized.

Three others have been arrested and authorities said other charges may follow.
