The forum is part of the annual "Conversations at The Carter Center" series. There are no tickets remaining for the 7 p.m. event. It will be webcast for free at cartercenter.org.
The Carters opened the center in 1982, one year after leaving the White House.
The non-profit organization has worked in more than 70 countries. Its projects range from peace negotiations and election monitoring to helping poor nations develop health care infrastructure. The former first lady has concentrated her efforts on mental health issues.
The center has about 175 employees at its Atlanta headquarters. Field offices are open in more than a dozen countries.
