The National League of Junior Cotillions, Three Rivers Chapter held its annual Parents Dip Into Dancing class of the cotillion season on Nov. 1 at Shorter College. Parents or special guests of cotillion students were invited to attend class and learn the Foxtrot as the partner of their student. “This is the first opportunity many of our parents have had to dance with their child at a party and it is always a special event.” said Lou Ella Hobgood, director of the local cotillion chapter.

The National League of Junior Cotillions is a program of dance and etiquette instruction designed for middle school students. The Three Rivers Chapter is led by Lou Ella and Jim Hobgood and is in its 15th season. Students from Floyd and surrounding counties are invited to attend.
