LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Media won’t point out Obama’s flubs

PHILADELPHIA Inquirer columnist Bill Polman seems to think (and goes to great lengths to enhance his notion) that if Mitt Romney makes the slightest error in Wednesday’s debate he’ll be doomed to defeat in the November election.

Maybe so. Maybe not.

It is true that any such utterance, on his part, would be magnified to gigantic proportions by the media.

But no matter how big a blooper or how many whoppers President Obama might make, you’d be hard-pressed to find anything about it in the Main Stream Media.

"Over 70% of babies being born to black

mothers are being born out of wedlock....no deadbeat dad within sight. After nearly 150 years, things aren't better...they are worse. Billions of dollars have flooded into the ghetto...evidently down a societal drainage hole. Millions and millions of immigrants...poor Irish, Chinese, Pakistani, Vietnamese, Indian, Cubans, etc., with literally nothing on their backs. They settled in areas amongst themselves, worked hard, learned the language, and achieved the American dream...Yet we have one segment of our society that continues to wallow in failure, refuses to man up, refuses to work 100 hours a week at low pay if need to, and get out of the gutter.

WOW...Way to rant against...everybody not white.."

Nope...Just giving you the facts, mam, as Sgt. Joe Friday would put it.

ALL OTHER GROUPS have been successful, folks!....ALL OTHER GROUPS...I PRAISE all of them, not attack.

We need to take a harder look at what's going on in the black culture that has been developed and is still being developed here in the USA.

Trelicious, looks like the "waah waah" playground bully just gave a great description of himself after he, in his words, was "called out."

Rhuidean07 has been disowned by his own family members, who, evidently, find his own putrid behavior to be both racist and "vile." He has already stated that they parted ways a long, long time ago.

Rhuidean07 is the type of individual who, as a child, took great pleasure in pulling insects apart...and then graduating to cutting off frogs legs, and then moving up the cruelty scale to family pets. Nothing left for the egotistical mental dwarf except his fellow human beings.

A psychiatrist could be employed full-time in the exploration of his poorly developed mind. Sadistic....probably a manic-depressive with bipolar tendencies...low self-esteem...a loner and social outcast...feelings of frustration and low self worth, thereby lashing out at others for a perceived idea that he has been shorted in life's gifts, etc., all describe this cartoonish character.

Rhuidean07, you're losing it, dude. Ooohh, such anger...Guess you'll be running home to your mommy...But...egads!....You got your butt kicked out years ago when the prodigal son said "blank you, you old hag! Tell granny to take her Bible and shove it somewhere! To blank with your expecting me to act decent and be civil around here!"

Tssk, tssk! The old adage, "You get what you deserve" applies to you, bucko.

Get a grip on it, old man. See a shrink...apologize to your family...cool your heels...accept others in civility and decency...and grow up and be a man.

Hey, you've tried everything else!...Couldn't hurt...right?

Trelicious,

Everytime a racist gets called called out on his or her vileness they argue that NO......you are wrong....I am Innocent......Innocent I say.

You Wrote: Every night during prime time, every 30 minutes, a car is driving through the roughest neighborhoods in America. They pull up to drug dealers, prostitutes, street thugs, etc and ask "You hope Obama or Romney wins?" Then they drive off after getting the obvious response. Every 30 minutes it's a different set of hoods, and this goes on til election day.

NOTE: When you talk about visiting "A different set of Hoods you are referring to race.....

If you want to make like I mistook your meaning then too bad.

I grew up in Rome and fully understand what what you meant....So Puhleeease stop with the pity party.

You sure called that one wrong... lol... Obama did terrible and the media was sure to point it out! Even the left...

I don't understand why Mitt's campaign thought he was such a horrible debater.... They kept trying to lower everyone's expectations before the debate... They need to get things together if they want to win this election. They don't even know their candidate can debate well!

Mitt Romney enjoyed a one-day bounce from his stylish victory in the first debate, as has every challenger except Dukakis. Then the "evil media" fact-checked Romney's performance and President Obama's chances of winning the election improved to 87.1%, an all-time high.

Republicans have one more chance. They're sending bus loads of volunteers from... wait for it... Alabama to canvas door-to-door in Ohio. Ohioans, meanwhile, are worried about Honey-Boo-Boo-without-subtitles moments, like:

AlaVol: "Owe-Balmer's gunna rurn dis kuntree!"

Ohioan: "Sure, uh, I'll donate to the mentally handicapped!"

Trelicious,

Duuude....Your comments grow ever more racist and reprehensible. I get why you are voting for the white guy.

For the rest of the BLS Truthers....

The GOP/TP has gleefully trumpeted the BLS numbers when they show bad news for the president.

So your whole schtick is just BS and sour grapes that the momentary high the debate produced is gone.

There is NO way to pimp the numbers of the report. And yes they may go back up after the election....They go up and down all the time.

Big Whooop....

In the end Obama will win, the Dems will retain the Senate and maybe the house.

America is about to speak and extremists on the right are gonna get an earful.

I stand by my earlier comments...

Shame on you all for rooting against America...

I was thinking today of what I would consider the best campaign commercial ever. Of course, one of those independent PACs would have to produce it.

Every night during prime time, every 30 minutes, a car is driving through the roughest neighborhoods in America. They pull up to drug dealers, prostitutes, street thugs, etc and ask "You hope Obama or Romney wins?" Then they drive off after getting the obvious response. Every 30 minutes it's a different set of hoods, and this goes on til election day.

Wouldn't have any effect on the election, but it would certainly be hilarious.

Rhuidean thinks this is racist? Why? Only a racist would hear phrases such as drug dealer, prostitute, street thug and immediately think of race. Rhuidean, you're the typical Democrat. Racist to the core. Thinking that other races can not survive without their Democrat checks in the mail.

Wow People,

When I assert that the GOP/TP does not really want to see the economy improve all you god fearing family value conservatives go fruit loopy.

Racist you scream....Bigot you wail, Tool and loser you assert.....

It's ALL the fault of that horrible bad terrible Democratic President and his friends Nancy, Barney and Harry you shout.

Well today proved my point beyond doubt...

The unemployment numbers are out and we as a nation are at the lowest level of unemployment since.......Wait for it....Wait for it......January 2009....

Hey....That was the month President Obama was inaugurated.....How about that......????

IMMEDIATELY upon the publication of these improved numbers the right wing outrage Wurlitzer sprung into action...

Chicago Numbers.....VooDoo 101, Cooking the books and other such utter NONSENSE....

No way the economy can improve you say......ONLY the idiots who caused the economy to crash and burn can possibly understand how to fix this mess....

Now I see the usual suspects i:e Jrbobcat, Former Roman and my homeboy LiedToAgainAndAgain chiming in.

They wail and gnash their teeth, rend their clothes and sit shiva for our republic.

All because the bureau of labor statistics put forward numbers that indicate Americans are hurting less, finding employment and having an easier day.

We should ALL be grateful for our fellow citizens....

Anyone who understands how government works knows that the BLP is an INDEPENDENT agency and the White house has no influence or ability to change their numbers. NONE....

Last year when the GOP/TP caused damage to our credit rating the right wing extremists cheered...

Ideology over country I observed...N0...NO...NO you screamed..

I see this as no different. Your hate for the president is more important than Americans having an easier day.

Shame on you all....

I wouldn't worry about that too much bobcat. Any intelligent person would be skeptical about any government numbers that come out one month before the election. Romney will have plenty of opportunity to explain that comparing the unemployment numbers of today with the numbers of 2009 is like comparing apples and railroad spikes. He will also have plenty of opportunity to explain how the new accounting system for unemployment rates leave a lot of unemployed out of the mix so that it lowers the final rate of unemployment.

The problem your side has is that there may just be more dumb people, in the battleground states, than those with some sense. Another problem you have is the "he looks like me" voters. Then there's the issue of those in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, etc believing that Romney is going to take their free money away. Finally you have the fact that it is now easy to vote multiple times with the only test being that you 'promise' you are who you say you are. That's a lot of things are going against you.

Rhudi-Even jack welch is tweeting about these mysterious numbers..600,000 TEMPORARY jobs created last month..114,000 new jobs which shouldn't have moved the needle at all.

This is the same Dept. of Labor which wouldn't allow Boeing to move to South carolina..

7.8% and you're Crowing-THINK about that..

This Is Chicago style politics at its best and I PROMISE you the number will go up next month JUST AFTER the election.

"This must be an anomaly," former Congressional Budget Office director Doug Holtz-Eakin said in a snap analysis of the numbers. "It is out of line with any of the other data.."

Holtz-Eakin noted the household survey is smaller, suggesting it is not as reliable. He called estimate of 873,000 new jobs "implausible."

He said the report was otherwise "solid," but reflected "the economy is merely moving sideways."

Liberal economist Dean Baker, with the Center for Economic and Policy Research, called the September rate drop "almost certainly a statistical fluke."

There you have it, folks! Cooked books, serving us up a big dose of lying statistics fried to order.

Obama got his tail whipped in the debate...period.

Obama has the biggest smear campaign in the history of politics...period.

Obama has violated federal law by encouraging corporations with government contracts to hold off filing their future layoffs until after the election....period.

Obama has failed to bring our troops home from Afghanistan until after the election...period.

Only a die-hard idiot could look at Obama's "Special Order" of boiled numbers and come up with a conclusion that they're not doctored.

Oh, they're doctored all right...It's called VooDoo Economics 101.

Georgia will go to Romney, so the hateful comments do very little good. If you lean right you are living in the right state. But I have looked at all the polls, and Obama has many different paths to victory. Romney has very few paths to victory. I think many of you posting hateful comments are aware of this, and it is hard to be a humble loser. Even with the small bump after the debates Romney would have to carry most of the swing states. Even conservative polls show that Romney has a steep hill to climb.

NoFreakinWay,

I agree that Romney had a good debate that fired up his base. However over the next two weeks all the lies he told will be examined and made into Obama campaign ads.

Ads that will run in the battleground states where election will be decided. States which President Obama has double digit leads.

So who won? Romney won a short term victory and news cycle...Big Whoop...

You Wrote: Vote for him again, you tool. Send him on another 4 year vacation while the people you leave behind are left to suffer, you selfish, uncaring loser.

I reply: Who arrived at all those assumptions just because I am not voting for a pathological lying vulture capitalist?

Look....If you want to debate the issues that cause you to feel as you do and can actually present factual data then I welcome the debate.

If you want a flame war in which I bury you with facts and reasoning that disprove your vitriol.........

I can do that if you continue to hurl baseless accusations.

BTW unemployment is below 8% as of this morning....

Obama was beaten. Everyone knows it. Anyone who says he wasn't, or claims that he had a better argument is either brainwashed, in denial, a liar, or a blithering idiot. It was so obvious that even NBC News admitted it. That's saying something. Millions just like Rhuidean07 are delusional to think that Obama is doing anything good for this country. Last night proved that he doesn't know his butt from a hole in the ground, and that people in the background are calling all the shots. Vote for him again, you tool. Send him on another 4 year vacation while the people you leave behind are left to suffer, you selfish, uncaring loser.

Had the media ignored the poor performance they would lose the last bit of credibility that they have with four or five percent of the U.S. They would also not be able to sleep. The razing of Obama today is not the media willingly pointing out how ignorant he appeared and how good Romney was, it's the media's cry of "do something sir!".

The "You're right, budgets do show priorities. You spent $90 billion for green energy. You could have hired 2 million new teachers with that money" and the "oil production increased in spite of your policies. You gave half the permits as the previous president" were the best lines in my opinion.

Every time Obama was talking, Mitt was chomping at the bit. Every time Mitt was talking Obama was looking for the teleprompter.

FormerRoman,

President Obama had a hard night...Romney did what he needed to do to energize his base and will get a momentary poll bump nationally.

I was disappointed 4 years ago with then Senator Obama's debate performances against Hillary and nothing has changed.

But....the electoral math is severely in the Presidents favor and polls in the battleground states still have President Obama running the table.

In the end my belief that Romney will lose is unshaken and the math validates that argument.

So i recommend that Romney supporters enjoy the moment....they will be sad on the evening of 6 November.
