If the true identity of this person is known then they are the one that should be banned from participating in any athletics at Coosa High School. To think that anyone in the Coosa community would tolerate such comments are ridiculous.
Should this community have to deal with ignorance from such a person? Let us all understand that we are discussing high school football, and if you do not want to hear things coming from the stands addressed at the referees, coaches or even the players then you should not attend, again this is football.
What I truly find ridiculous is the fact that this individual would indicate “racial slurs” were used — truly unbelievable — but I guess when you cannot get your way you use whatever means necessary. There is no doubt that things are said from the stands that may offend certain people, especially if you are the parent of a child being called out, but I have been witness to many Coosa football games and have never seen such actions as stated in this letter. The principal and his staff at Coosa are outstanding supporters of the children and parents that are members of the Coosa community and for such a letter to even be posted by the local paper without a little fact checking is beyond reasonable comprehension. This paper and the person responsible for this ridiculous letter owe the Coosa community an apology.
