LFO cheerleaders reflect on banner ban aftermath

Six weeks after their Scripture-quoting banners were prohibited, two Lake-view-Fort Oglethorpe High School cheerleaders remain unapologetic in their opposition to the ban.

But they understand it.

“Stand up for what you believe in, but don’t get the school involved in a losing fight,” senior cheerleader Taylor Guinn said.

That is correct, and you should be grateful for it. The only place a person's religious faith belongs is in the heart anyway, not the public square.

FINALLY,,,,,,,i must take my hat off to these two young ladies who have the guts and convictions to stand up for God. What bothers me is that our political leaders pass all these laws to remove any mention of God or Jesus Christ from everything. Government buildings, schools etc. and they are always wondering what is going wrong with our young people today.When you take the Christian fundamentals out of a civilization that was founded on these Christian fundamentals what do you expect? They don't want to "offend" anyone. Well I am offended that these politicians have removed God from everything that they can because i am a firm believer in God and his son. One place they can NEVER take Jesus Christ out of is my heart.
