Local Colleges: GNTC pulls away in second half for win

Up by only two points at halftime, Georgia Northwestern men’s basketball team turned to Hunter Ivester and Richard Olsen to put Covenant College away Monday night, 70-57.

Ivester led all scorers with 22 points and had six steals in the Bobcats first road win of the year. Olsen went 9-for-11 from the free-throw line.

Covenant College’s Matt Brunjes and Micah Turner both scored 14 each.

Georgia Northwestern (6-13, 0-5) next plays on the road against Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa on Tuesday night for another non-region game.
