Lottery prizes help Floyd, Cartersville families

A Floyd County man has won a fine Fantasy 5 prize from the Georgia Lottery. Willie Sutton of Lindale matched all five numbers from the Dec. 3 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning the $193,020 prize.

The copper mill worker heard his lucky numbers announced during the televised drawing.

“I was so excited, I couldn’t sleep,” Sutton said.

The lucky winner also has two adult children. Sutton, 48, intends to save the money for his grandchildren.

Food Mart BP Amoco, located at 112 Kingston Highway 293 N.W. in Cartersville, sold the winning ticket.

Winning numbers from the Dec. 3 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 4-6-9-23-25.

In other lotto news, Cartersville’s Lynn Pack, self-employed in backyard fencing, won the $225,091 jackpot prize from the Nov. 30 Fantasy 5 drawing from matching all five winning numbers.

Jo Jo’s Market, 851 Euharlee Road S.W. in Euharlee, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket.

Winning numbers from the Nov. 30 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 5-6-8-16-19.

He and his wife, Geralyn, have two sons.

“We’re both close to retirement, so this will supplement our income,” Pack shared.
