A Silver Creek man was arrested Sunday after police say they found marijuana in his possession during a traffic stop.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Richard Lamar Easterwood, 48, of 145 Stansell Drive, was arrested by Floyd County police at 1:30 p.m. at Maple Road and Old Lindale Road. He was charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects, DUI and having an open container in the vehicle.

Police said Easterwood had a small bag of suspected marijuana and a pipe in his pants pocket. Officers also said he had several open containers of alcohol in his vehicle.

He was in jail Sunday, pending $5,400 bail.
