A Rome man already in custody for an armed robbery earlier this month was additionally charged on Monday with another robbery — at the same convenience store one year ago.
According to Floyd County Jail records and detective John Glaze with the Rome Police Department:
Joseph Shane Langston, 30, of 2520 Callier Springs Road, was arrested earlier this month for the Nov. 3 armed robbery at the Kangaroo convenience store at 1808 Dean Ave.
He allegedly demanded money from the clerk at knifepoint and got away with approximately $170 in cash.
Glaze said Langston has now been charged with the robbery of the same store on Nov. 25, 2008. In that incident, Glaze said Langston brandished a knife at the cashier and stole more than $200 from the store register.
Langston remains in the Floyd County Jail with no bail on the felony armed robbery charge.
