An Alabama man was in jail Sunday night after his arrest on forgery charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

David Wayne Crane, 36, of 5645 County Road 19 in Piedmont, Ala., was arrested by Floyd County Sheriff’s deputies. He was charged with two counts of felony forgery in the first degree.

Floyd County police detectives said that on two different instances in June, Crane wrote checks on another account without the account holder’s permission. The total of each check was $300.

He remains in jail without bail.
