ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia experts have compiled what they call a set of "logistics baseball cards" that contain statistics showing how each of the state's 159 counties handles goods that contribute to the overall economy.

The Georgia Center of Innovation for Logistics rolled out the online scorecards — officially called "County Logistics Spotlights" — during an economic development conference last week.

The cards detail ways in which each Georgia county helps move goods from producers to consumers. They list the counties' major industries as well as which highways and railroad lines crisscross their communities. There are even estimates of the weight and value of goods that flow in and out of each county.

Page Siplon, director of the logistics center, says the stat cards will be a tool for recruiting new industry.
