Pre-K openings are still available in five Floyd County schools for next school year. With the registration period now complete, openings remain in Pre-K classes at Alto Park Elementary, Glenwood Primary, Johnson Elementary, McHenry Primary, and Midway Primary. The Floyd County Schools Pre-K registration period was held February 4 - 15. You did not have to register during the registration period to sign-up for one of the openings still available. To be eligible for Pre-K, a child must be four-years-old on or before September 1, 2013.

There will be 19 Pre-K classes formed next year in the Floyd County School System. There are 22 available Pre-K slots in each class. Pre-K sites and the number of classes at each site are: Alto Park Elementary (two classes), Cave Spring Elementary (one classes), Garden Lakes Elementary (two classes), Glenwood Primary (four classes), Johnson Elementary (two classes), McHenry Primary (two classes), Midway Primary (two classes), Model Elementary (two classes), and Pepperell Primary (two classes).
