Chad Hullander and his wife Noreen were looking to open a restaurant in Cartersville before they brought Jefferson’s to Broad Street in Rome. Now, Hullander and his wife have found just the right spot for a restaurant in Bartow County.
A new Jefferson’s will open in the middle of January in the old D. Morgan’s location on the square in downtown Cartersville. The Rome restaurant will remain open and Hullander said he and his wife and his management team in Rome would most likely split time between the two shops once the new eatery opens next month.
Hullander told the Rome News-Tribune that he was, “blessed with an excellent management staff and without them this would not be possible.”
Hullander said he had checked out the D. Morgan’s site several times after it shut down several weeks ago and that it was the perfect location for a second Jefferson’s.
The Jefferson’s location in Cartersville will employ a wait staff of between 20 and 30 with 10 to 15 cooks.
There will be one significant difference between the Rome and Cartersville location. Hullander said there is not enough room in front of the Cartersville site at 28 W. Main Street, to include a sidewalk café. The sidewalk tables in Rome have been a very popular addition to the local shop.
