Renovation begins on Polk Georgia State Patrol building

CEDARTOWN — The first step has been taken to renovate the former Georgia State Patrol Building for occupancy by the Polk County Police Department.

The Polk County Board of Commissioners has approved a $12,000 quote from Rome’s Robert Noble for architectural services.

The board will seek a bid for a construction contract at a later date.

They have indicated that the work will include enclosing the breezeway and moving walls to rearrange space needed by the police department.
