The Walker County-based North Georgia Animal League is adding $500 to the reward fund for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for throwing two dogs off an overpass in Walker County.

An employee of the Animal Medical Center of Fort Oglethorpe witnessed the Nov. 5 incident, rescued the animals and took them for treatment to the clinic.

One dog suffered a broken hip and needed surgery, while the other dog suffered torn muscles. The dogs, a Labrador mix and a beagle, were kept overnight.

The dogs were stolen from their owner, Eric Christian of Rossville.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact either deputy Kevin Denny with the Walker County Sheriff’s Office at 706-638-1909 or detective Mike Tinker with the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office at 706-935-2424.

Guy who did this must have an appendage similar to a mosquitoes and a brain to match. Takes a real big man to do such a sniveling, cowardly act. They have a special place in Hell for these people. Right next to child abusers or perhaps they are the same thing. Grow a pair buddy.
