The Rome Area History Museum is proud to announce that Ali Freeman will be the 2013 Board of Directors President; and Barbara Ware will be the 2013 Vice-President.

2013 Board President, Ali Freeman, serves as director of marketing for Greater Rome Bank.

A mass communication graduate of Auburn University, Freeman’s career began in public relations and television production in New York City. Freeman participates in charitable work through the Junior Service League of Rome and serves as president of the Rome International Film Festival. According to Ali, “After naming Rome my “home” four years ago, I have been captivated by the rich history of Rome and am excited to contribute to its preservation”.

RAHM Board Vice-President for 2013, Barbara Ware, is Vice-President of Kaleido-Sno. Barbara moved with her husband John to Rome from San Francisco after John, a Rome native, retired from the military. They opened Kaleido-Sno on Broad Street in 1992 with the ambition to provide Rome with an atmosphere where families could enjoy good food and where their employees could develop excellent work ethic skills.

According to RAHM Executive Director, Leigh Barba, “We are thrilled that Ali and Barbara have taken on the challenge of running our board of directors for 2013! We have had another good year of fundraising in 2012 and, though the museum is faced with many challenges in meeting our yearly budget during this tough economy, we know that with the help of these hard working and dedicated women leaders, our 2013 goals will be met; and the museum will keep moving forward in a positive way. We sincerely appreciate the help of Ali and Barbara and look forward to working together to make 2013 our best year yet!”
