Rome gets 10-inch rain surplus so far in 2009

Rome enters November with more than a 10-inch rainfall surplus for the year, according to figures provided by the National Weather Service.

Through October, often one of the driest months of the year, Rome received 8.68 inches of rain. The average rainfall for the month is 2.96 inches.

From January through October of this year, Rome received 54.72 inches of rain, that’s 10.35 more inches than the 44.37-inch average for the first 10 months of the year.

Today: Sunny, with a high near 66. North wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 71.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 65.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 64.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 66.
