The Shorter Chorale will perform a concert titled “Longing: In Anticipation of Things Yet to Come” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 in the Cooper Fine Arts Building on campus.
Selections will include works from Brahms, Mendelssohn and Rachmaninoff.
“So much of our lives are spent in anticipation: of seasons to come, of love yet to be discovered, of lessons to be learned, and of dreams yet to be fulfilled,” said professor Martha Shaw, director of chorale activities. “The music of our program keeps returning to this theme and is intended as a message of hope and assurance that all will be well, that our God will be with us every step of the way.”
Tickets are $12 for general admission and $8 for senior adults and students. Tickets can be purchased by calling 706-233-7288.
