Shorter Wrestling: Hawks to face St. Andrews

The Hawks wrestling program travels for a Thursday night dual meet with St. Andrews, with the start time set for 7 p.m.

Shorter is coming off splitting a pair of dual meets over the weekend in Albany against Darton and Truett-McConnell.

Shorter defeated Truett-McConnell 34-12, while narrowly missing the victory against Darton, 24-22.

In the match versus Truett-McConnell, the Hawks claimed victory in seven weight classes, while the Hawks earned five victories versus Darton.

Gabriel Bird, T.J. Duncan, Joseph Hinchman, and Chris Rowland won in both of their matches.

Duncan earned his victories via major decision and pin, continuing his dominating season to this point. Hinchman earned a decision and major decision victory, his major decision versus Harrison Stadnick of Darton was the only shutout of the day, 11-0. Rowland was able to pin his first opponent while getting the second victory by decision.
